Music Release Update
With the intentions to hit the ground running this year, well let’s just say that didn’t happen. A few good things did happen so far though to keep the flame still flickering here:
Chuck’s Donuts radio show at KFJC. This was the highlight of the year so far. Both Iron Shrine & Vomit Dust played a live set. Played selected tracks from the spareorgan discography. Talked a lot of nonsense live on the air. Kicked it with a lot of homies. You can watch the Iron Shrine (With visuals by Mack Murray aka @loopintheverb) set here and the Vomit Dust set here. If you want a copy of all 3 hours of the radio show, I got it, hit me up and I can send to you via electronic mail.
Leading CD ‘Daylight’ is complete. 10 copies…yes only 10 on this first run. Why only 10…I don’t even know. 15 more will be coming with new art possibly.
Most of the spareorgan releases are restocked at www.spareorgan.bandcamp.com. Physical releases will soon be transferred over here to spareorgan.com, once I figure out how to do it!
Got my gall bladder out. Didn’t die…almost…but didn’t.
Scored a nice Tascam 424 MKII
Sean McDonnells book of course…see previous blog entry.
Currently on the table is a release by the one and only WB Presents the Carnival Kids. Seven new tracks recorded by Bart Thurber/House of Faith. A CD by Manila’s Peculiar Children called 'At Most Fear’ has been sent out for manufacturing and will be available soon. New material by the artist known as Leer Ansturm is in the works. Several Iron Shrine CD releases will be coming soon. Been talking with 56K Recordings about a collaboration of sorts and a release by Greathearts, more about that TBD! Also discussing a release by New Jersey’s Chvrch Street very soon. Then finally…something with Vomit Dust…not sure what yet…we will see!
